Call to Arms 2026

Welcome to Call to Arms!

This event is dedicated to supporting and celebrating underrepresented genders (URG) in Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA). Our mission is to foster a fun, inclusive, and safe environment where everyone feels welcomed.

Over the course of two days, we’ll be offering a variety of workshops led by experienced instructors, as well as plenty of opportunities for sparring. Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or a beginner, there will be something for you to enjoy.

In addition to the HEMA activities, we’ve created ample space for socializing, sharing experiences, and building connections with your fellow swordfighters.
Join us on creating a supportive community and celebrating our shared passion for HEMA.

Where: LHFC at Vauxhall, London.
Who: Any HEMA student belonging to URG collective.
Kit requirements: We encourage participants to bring their own kit, but if you need to borrow please contact us.

Practical Information:

  • The venue is equipped with gender-neutral changing rooms and restrooms.
  • A fridge will be available for storing medication.
  • The area offers a variety of restaurants and supermarkets with a broad range of prices.
  • We’ll set up a channel to assist with couch surfing for those traveling from afar.
