Introducing the LHFC Club ladder, a chance to fight scored, competitive matches against your clubmates and follow your progression over time. There are no prizes beyond bragging rights at the pub, but also no travelling, hotels, or volunteering.

We’re running ladders in;

• Longsword
• Rapier
• Sabre
• Smallsword
• Sidesword

Ladder Rules

1. You can challenge anyone on the ladder. If they accept, you fight!
2. Both fencers must agree to a bout being a scored ladder match in advance for the result to be submitted to the ladder.
3. You can play your match anywhere, but at the club is probably easiest.
4. Matches will be played under Wessex League Rules.
5. Club sparring safety rules, including pre-sparring conversations, apply at all times.
6. You can compete with either Steel or Synthetic weapons, both fencers must use the same weapon type.
7. Club Equipment Requirements for sparring, depending on your weapon type apply as usual.
8. You can choose if you want to self-score or ask someone to judge for you.
9. Submit the results and your ELO rating will automatically update.
