Waterloo Sparring is our regular Saturday sparring session, running from 2pm – 4pm every week. Sparring cleared fencers from LHFC and from any HEMA club are welcome to join for 2 hours of free play at LHFC’s fencing hall.

If you want to join, you can book below. By booking, you agree to abide by LHFC’s code of conduct and that you are aged 18 or over. All attendees are responsible for their own safety and attendees may only spar with the Marshall’s permission.

LHFC members are welcome to borrow club kit. Non-LHFC members should ensure they have all the kit they need to spar safely for their chosen weapon.

If it is your first time sparring with us:

On arrival, make yourself known to the Marshall (wearing a black and white arm-band). They will arrange for a sparring safety test, either with them or another experienced attendee. The Marshall will also check that your fencing kit meets our requirements. If you have any questions about this, please contact us in advance.
